Melbourne trades & home services

The job goes to whoever picks up first.

You're under a house or up a ladder, so it isn't you. We build websites for Melbourne tradies that catch the call, text back the ones you miss, and chase the quote until you get an answer.

Why you're losing work

It's not the website. It's what happens after the phone rings.

Four things quietly cost trade businesses more money than anything a designer can fix with a nicer font.

You miss a third to half your calls.

Not because you're slack — because your hands are in a switchboard. A missed call isn't a message. It's a job that went to the next name on the list. Most people don't leave a voicemail. They just ring the next mob.

The leads that get through go cold.

Enquiry lands Tuesday at 4pm. You quote Thursday night from the couch. By then they've had two other quotes and booked one of them. Nobody chases the quote after that, so it sits there and dies.

Forty jobs done. Two Google reviews.

Every one of those customers was happy. Nobody asked them at the right moment. The mob down the road has 87 reviews and sits above you in the map pack — not because they're better, because they asked.

Nobody can find you by suburb.

Search your trade plus your suburb and you're not on page one. You're not on page two either. The work is being handed out at the exact moment someone types that search, and you're not in the room.

How it stacks up

A website is rung one. Not the whole ladder.

Most agencies build the site and disappear. The site is the entry point — it generates the lead. Everything above it is what stops the lead leaking out the bottom. You start at the bottom and climb when the work justifies it, not before.

  1. Weeks 1–2
    One-off
    Rung 01 · Weeks 1–2 · One-off

    The website build

    $1,200

Someone searching for your trade at 7am finds you, believes you, and has a way to reach you that doesn't rely on you being free.

    • 5–8 pages — service pages that match what people actually search for.
    • Quote calculator — filters out the tyre-kickers before they get your number.
    • Google Business Profile setup — the map pack is where local jobs get won.
    • Call tracking number installed — from day one, so you can prove what the site earns.
    • Two revision rounds — changes after that are billed at $110/hour.
  2. From launch
    Mandatory
Rung 02 · From launch · Included with every build

    Site Care

    $100 /month

    Everything in rung 01, plus:

Every call you can't answer gets a text back inside a minute — so the customer knows they've been heard instead of dialling the next number.

    • Missed-call text-back — the single highest-value thing on this page.
    • Hosting, SSL, backups, security updates — it stays up and it stays yours.
    • Uptime monitoring — we find out it's down before a customer does.
    • Call tracking maintained — every call logged against a source.
    • Monthly lead summary — calls, forms, and where they came from. One page.
  3. Month 2 onward
    When leads outpace you
    Rung 03 · Month 2 onward

    Lead Engine

    $297 /month

Everything in rungs 01 and 02, plus:

Quotes stop dying in your inbox. Every enquiry gets an instant reply, every quote gets chased, and every finished job asks for the review while the customer is still happy.

    • Speed-to-lead instant replies — the form submission gets a response before they've closed the tab.
    • Quote-chase sequences — follows up at day 2, day 5, day 12 so you don't have to remember.
    • Automated review requests — asks at the moment the job's done, which is the only moment it works.
    • CRM pipeline — you can see every job between "enquired" and "invoiced".
    • Online booking calendar — they pick a slot instead of playing phone tag.
  4. When call volume
    justifies it
Rung 04 · When call volume justifies it

    AI Front Desk

    $597 /month + $500 setup

Everything in rungs 01 to 03, plus:

The phone gets answered at 9pm on a Sunday, the job gets booked into your calendar, and you read the transcript over breakfast. You stop being the switchboard.

    • Calls answered 24/7 — a voice agent picks up, qualifies the job, and books it in.
    • SMS and web chat handled — same answers, same booking, no waiting on you.
    • Transcripts into the CRM — you see exactly what was said and promised.
    • Escalation rules you set — genuine emergencies still come straight to your mobile.

You can stop at any rung. Most start at rungs 01 and 02, then move up once the site is generating more enquiries than there are hours in the evening to chase them. We'll tell you when that point arrives — and we'll tell you when it hasn't.

Fully mobile detailing across Melbourne's east. They come to the customer's home or workplace, so the site had to answer "do you come to me" before anything else.

Nail studio · Scoresby

Sunday Suite

A one-chair private studio doing luxury acrylic sets by appointment. Every enquiry has to turn into a booked slot, so the whole site runs on the booking button.

What actually happens

Three things, and one of them is yours.

You spend about ninety minutes total. We do the rest. Here's the honest version, including the bit where we need something from you.

  1. Day 1 · 30 minutes

The call, and a fixed price

We ask what jobs you want more of, what you charge for them, and how far you'll drive. We don't ask what colours you like. You leave the call with a fixed quote and a start date — not a proposal that arrives next week.

  2. Day 2 · Your 60 minutes

    You send us the goods

Photos off your phone from real jobs, your licence and insurance details, and a list of the suburbs you cover. That's the whole ask. It's the step that decides whether we hit 14 days, so it's the one thing we'll chase you on.

  3. Day 3–14 · Us

    Built, tracked, and switched on

We write the copy, build the pages, claim and clean up your Google Business Profile, and install the tracking number. Missed-call text-back is live the day the site is. Two rounds of changes are included.

Live in 14 days. The clock starts the day we have everything — your photos, your licence and insurance details, your suburb list — not the day you sign. That handover is about an hour of your time and it's the one part we can't do for you, so it's the one part we'll chase you on. If we're waiting on you, the 14 days waits too.

You see it before you pay for it

We build your site before you've paid for most of it.

$600 locks in your build slot. Then we build the thing — your trade, your suburbs, your photos, not a template with your logo dropped in — and you look at it before the second $600 is due. The balance is only payable when the site goes live. If something's wrong, we fix it inside the two included revision rounds.

$600 to start, $600 when it goes live. On the usual $1,200 build.

  • No lock-in contract on any monthly tier.
  • Cancel Site Care with 30 days' notice and the site files are yours.
  • Fixed price quoted on the first call. It doesn't move.
  • Fix-ups and changes billed honestly at $110/hour — never bundled into a vague retainer.

The things people actually ask

Straight answers.

I already have a Facebook page. Isn't that enough?

It's enough to be found by people who already know your name. It's not enough to be found by the person typing "emergency plumber Rowville" into Google at 11pm, because Facebook pages don't show in the map pack and they don't rank for suburb searches. You also don't own it — one policy change and the page you built for six years is gone. Keep the Facebook page. It just isn't the thing that brings you new work.

I'm not tech-savvy. Am I going to have to learn something?

No. You send photos from your phone and answer questions on a call. After that you don't log into anything. The monthly lead summary arrives as one page you can read at the traffic lights. If you want to change something on the site, you text us and we do it.

Why is there a monthly fee? I just want a website.

Because a website that nobody maintains breaks, and a website with nothing behind it just collects enquiries you're too busy to answer. The $100 covers hosting, security, backups, the call tracking number, and the missed-call text-back — that last one is the part that actually earns it back. If you genuinely want the site with nothing behind it, we'll build it as a standalone for $3,500 and hand you the files. Almost nobody takes that option once they've seen the maths.

What if I want to leave?

Thirty days' notice, no exit fee, no argument. You keep the site files and the domain — they're in your name from day one, not ours. The automation and the tracking number switch off, because those run on our systems, and we'll tell you exactly what you'll lose before you go.

Every question we get asked

Next step

Thirty minutes, and you'll know whether this is worth doing.

We'll ask about your last ten jobs and tell you honestly whether a website is your bottleneck or whether something else is. If it isn't us, we'll say so on the call — that's a cheaper outcome for both of us than finding out in month three.
